Cosel recommends a PCB layout with a large copper area connected to the module's thermal pad, and multiple vias to dissipate heat effectively. A minimum of 2oz copper thickness is recommended.

To ensure reliable start-up and shutdown, Cosel recommends a soft-start circuit to limit inrush current, and a voltage supervisor to monitor the output voltage and prevent damage during power-up and power-down sequences.

The maximum allowed capacitance on the output is 2200uF. Exceeding this value may cause instability or oscillation in the converter.

The SUTW62415 is designed to operate up to 5,000 meters (16,400 ft) above sea level. However, derating of the output power may be necessary for higher altitudes. Consult Cosel's application notes for more information.
