The MMBT3904 can operate safely between -55°C to 150°C, but the recommended operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C for optimal performance.
To ensure the MMBT3904 is properly biased for saturation, the base-emitter voltage (VBE) should be around 0.7V, and the collector-emitter voltage (VCE) should be around 0.2V to 0.5V. The base current should be around 1/10th of the collector current.
The MMBT3904 can handle a maximum continuous collector current (IC) of 200mA, and a peak current of 400mA for a short duration (less than 100ms).
To protect the MMBT3904 from ESD, handle the device by the body, not the leads. Use an anti-static wrist strap or mat, and store the device in an anti-static bag or tube. Avoid touching the leads or pins, and use a soldering iron with an anti-static tip.
The MMBT3904 is a general-purpose transistor, and its switching frequency depends on the application. However, it can typically switch at frequencies up to 100 kHz, but this may vary depending on the specific use case and circuit design.
