The maximum input voltage is 40V, but it's recommended to keep it below 35V for reliable operation.
The output voltage can be adjusted by using a resistive divider network between the output and adjustment pins. The formula to calculate the output voltage is Vout = 1.25 * (1 + R2/R1).
The LM317LCDRG4 requires a minimum load current of 3.5mA to regulate properly. If the load current is less than this, the output voltage may not be regulated accurately.
The LM317LCDRG4 is rated for operation up to 125°C, but its performance may degrade at high temperatures. It's recommended to use a heat sink and ensure good airflow to keep the junction temperature below 125°C.
You can use a transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode or a zener diode in parallel with the input capacitor to protect the LM317LCDRG4 from input voltage transients.
