The maximum operating temperature range for the VIPER16HN is -40°C to 150°C.
To ensure proper cooling, make sure to provide a heat sink with a thermal resistance of less than 10°C/W and ensure good airflow around the device.
The recommended PCB layout for the VIPER16HN involves placing the device near the input capacitors, using a star-ground configuration, and keeping the high-current paths short and wide.
Choose input capacitors with a voltage rating of at least 1.5 times the maximum input voltage, a capacitance value of at least 10uF, and an ESR of less than 100mΩ.
The maximum output current capability of the VIPER16HN is 1.6A, but it can be limited by the thermal performance of the device and the PCB design.
