TI recommends a 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane on the bottom layer, and a thermal relief pattern on the top layer to minimize thermal resistance.
Use a reliable communication protocol like I2C or SPI, and ensure proper signal termination, pull-up resistors, and clock synchronization to prevent data corruption.
The maximum allowed voltage on the input pins is 5.5V, exceeding which may cause permanent damage to the device.
Use an external reset circuit or a supervisory IC to ensure a clean power-on reset and brown-out reset, and ensure the device is held in reset until the power supply is stable.
Use a 10uF to 22uF decoupling capacitor placed as close as possible to the device's power pins, with a maximum distance of 1cm.
