A good PCB layout for the TPS22810DBVR involves placing the device close to the power source, using a solid ground plane, and keeping the high-current paths short and wide. Additionally, it's recommended to use a common mode choke and a shielded inductor to reduce EMI.
To ensure proper thermal management, it's recommended to attach a heat sink to the device, use a thermal interface material, and ensure good airflow around the device. The maximum junction temperature (TJ) should not exceed 150°C.
A low-ESR ceramic capacitor with a value of 10uF to 22uF is recommended for the input capacitor. The capacitor should be placed close to the VIN pin and have a voltage rating of at least 2x the input voltage.
The output voltage of the TPS22810DBVR can be adjusted by using a resistor divider network between the FB pin and the output voltage. The resistor values can be calculated using the formula provided in the datasheet.
The maximum output current capability of the TPS22810DBVR is 2A. However, the actual output current capability may be limited by the thermal performance of the device and the PCB design.
