The maximum current that can be drawn from the output of the TPS2105D is 1.5A, but it is recommended to limit the current to 1A for reliable operation.
To ensure proper power-on and power-off, the EN pin should be driven high (above 1.4V) to turn on the device, and driven low (below 0.4V) to turn it off. The input voltage should also be within the recommended operating range.
The EN pin is an active-high enable input that allows the device to be turned on and off. When the EN pin is high, the device is enabled and operates normally. When the EN pin is low, the device is disabled and the output is turned off.
The TPS2105D has built-in input voltage transient protection and noise filtering, which helps to ensure reliable operation even in noisy environments. However, it is still recommended to use external filtering and decoupling capacitors to further improve noise immunity.
The thermal shutdown temperature of the TPS2105D is typically around 150°C. If the device temperature exceeds this threshold, the output will be turned off to prevent damage. Once the temperature drops below the thermal shutdown threshold, the device will automatically restart.
