The maximum current rating of the TPS2069CDGN is 2A per channel, with a total current limit of 4A for both channels combined.
To ensure safe operation in high-temperature environments, ensure that the device is properly heatsinked, and the junction temperature (TJ) does not exceed 150°C. Also, follow the recommended PCB layout and thermal design guidelines.
The EN (enable) pin is used to enable or disable the device. When EN is high, the device is enabled, and when EN is low, the device is disabled. Connect EN to a logic high (e.g., VCC) to enable the device, or connect it to a logic low (e.g., GND) to disable it.
The TPS2069CDGN has built-in OCP and SCP features. When an overcurrent condition is detected, the device will limit the current to prevent damage. In the event of a short circuit, the device will shut down to prevent damage. Ensure that your design can handle these fault conditions and provide adequate protection.
The recommended input capacitor value is 1uF to 10uF, with a voltage rating of at least 6.3V. A ceramic capacitor (e.g., X5R or X7R) is recommended due to its low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and high reliability.
