The maximum capacitance depends on the application and the desired performance. However, as a general guideline, TI recommends using capacitors with a capacitance of 10uF or less to ensure stability and optimal performance.
To ensure stability, follow the layout guidelines in the datasheet, use a low-ESR capacitor, and add a 1-2kΩ resistor in series with the capacitor to dampen oscillations. Additionally, ensure the input voltage is within the recommended range and the output is properly decoupled.
The minimum input voltage required for the TPS2065CDGN-2 to operate is 2.7V. However, the device can operate down to 2.5V with reduced performance and efficiency.
