The maximum current rating for each output channel is 1.5A, but it's recommended to derate the current to 1A or less for reliable operation.
Proper thermal management can be achieved by providing a heat sink, ensuring good airflow, and keeping the device away from heat sources. The thermal pad on the bottom of the package should be connected to a copper plane on the PCB for optimal heat dissipation.
The recommended input voltage range is 4.5V to 5.5V, but the device can operate with an input voltage as low as 4V. However, the output voltage regulation may not be as accurate at lower input voltages.
The output voltage can be configured by connecting the VSENSE pin to a resistive divider network that sets the desired output voltage. The datasheet provides a formula to calculate the required resistor values.
The EN (Enable) pin is used to enable or disable the device. When the EN pin is pulled low, the device is in shutdown mode, and the output voltage is disabled. When the EN pin is pulled high, the device is enabled, and the output voltage is regulated to the set value.
