Infineon recommends a 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a thermal via array under the device to improve thermal dissipation. A minimum of 5 thermal vias with a diameter of 0.3 mm to 0.5 mm is recommended.
To ensure EMC, Infineon recommends following the guidelines in the application note AN2013-01, which provides information on PCB layout, component placement, and shielding. Additionally, the device should be placed at least 10 mm away from the PCB edge.
The maximum allowed voltage on the enable pin (EN) is 6 V. Exceeding this voltage may damage the device.
The power sequencing of the TLF80511TCATMA1 should be done in the following order: VIN, VCC, and then EN. This ensures proper device startup and prevents latch-up.
The recommended input capacitor value is 10 μF to 22 μF, with an ESR of 10 mΩ to 100 mΩ. This ensures stable operation and reduces input voltage ripple.
