The maximum current rating for each output channel is 15mA. However, it's recommended to limit the current to 10mA per channel for reliable operation.
To ensure proper initialization, apply a reset pulse to the RST pin, then send a 'mode set' command (0x01) to set the device to the desired mode. After that, send a 'brightness' command (0x02) to set the initial brightness level.
The OUTEN pin is an output enable pin that allows you to disable all output channels simultaneously. To use it, connect OUTEN to a digital output of your microcontroller and set it high to enable the outputs or low to disable them.
The TLC5973DR uses a 12-bit grayscale format, where 0x000 represents minimum brightness and 0xFFF represents maximum brightness. You can use a 12-bit unsigned integer to represent the grayscale value for each channel.
The recommended clock frequency for the SCL pin is between 100 kHz and 400 kHz. However, the device can operate up to 1 MHz, but with reduced reliability.
