The TLC555CDR can operate up to 2.1 MHz, but the maximum frequency is dependent on the values of the external resistors and capacitors used in the circuit.
To ensure reliable start-up, a capacitor (typically 10nF to 100nF) should be connected between the control voltage pin (pin 5) and ground. This capacitor helps to filter out noise and ensures a stable voltage on the control pin.
The control voltage pin (pin 5) allows the frequency of the oscillator to be controlled by an external voltage. By applying a voltage to this pin, the frequency of the oscillator can be adjusted. This pin can also be used to synchronize the oscillator with an external clock signal.
The frequency of the TLC555CDR oscillator can be calculated using the formula: f = 1.44 / (R1 + R2) * C, where R1 and R2 are the values of the external resistors and C is the value of the external capacitor.
The TLC555CDR can source or sink up to 200mA of current, making it suitable for driving small loads such as LEDs or small relays.
