The recommended PCB layout for the TFS7708H is to keep the high-voltage nodes (e.g. Drain, Source) away from the low-voltage nodes (e.g. Gate, VCC) to minimize noise coupling. A solid ground plane and a separate power plane for the high-voltage nodes are also recommended.
To ensure proper biasing, make sure to provide a stable VCC supply (typically 12-15V) and a suitable bias resistor (e.g. 1kΩ-10kΩ) between the Gate and Source pins. The bias voltage should be set to around 5-6V to ensure optimal performance.
The maximum allowable drain-source voltage for the TFS7708H is 700V. Exceeding this voltage may result in device damage or failure.
To protect the TFS7708H from overvoltage and overcurrent conditions, consider adding overvoltage protection (OVP) and overcurrent protection (OCP) circuits. These can be implemented using external components such as zener diodes, resistors, and fuses.
The recommended operating temperature range for the TFS7708H is -40°C to 150°C. Operating the device outside of this range may affect its performance and reliability.
