The recommended power-up sequence is to first apply the analog supply voltage (AVDD) and then the digital supply voltage (DVDD). This ensures that the analog circuitry is powered up before the digital circuitry.
To optimize performance in noisy environments, ensure proper PCB layout and grounding, use a low-pass filter on the input signal, and consider using a shielded enclosure. Additionally, adjust the input signal amplitude and offset to optimize the signal-to-noise ratio.
The maximum input signal frequency that the TDC-GPX can handle is 100 MHz. However, the device can also be used with higher frequencies by using an external frequency divider or a prescaler.
Calibration involves adjusting the internal delay lines to compensate for process variations. This can be done using the built-in calibration mode, which involves applying a known input signal and adjusting the delay lines to achieve the optimal timing.
The latency of the TDC-GPX is typically around 10-20 ns. This latency should be considered when designing the system, as it may affect the overall timing and synchronization of the system.
