A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital grounds separate and connect them at a single point. Use a 10nF decoupling capacitor between VCC and GND, and a 100nF capacitor between AVCC and AGND.
Use a thermocouple or a thermistor with a high accuracy rating. Ensure good thermal contact between the sensor and the device under test. Use a low-pass filter to remove noise and ensure the measurement frequency is within the device's bandwidth.
The maximum cable length for the I2C interface depends on the clock frequency and the capacitance of the cable. As a general rule, keep the cable length below 1 meter for frequencies up to 400 kHz. Use a repeater or a buffer if longer cable lengths are required.
The POR and BOR are triggered by a power-on event or a voltage drop. Ensure a stable power supply and add a capacitor to the VCC pin to filter out noise. Use a reset supervisor IC or a microcontroller with a built-in POR and BOR to handle these events.
The recommended clock frequency for the I2C interface is up to 400 kHz. However, the device can operate at higher frequencies with proper signal conditioning and a high-quality clock source.
