The maximum operating frequency of the ST25DV16K-IER8S3 is 1 MHz, as specified in the datasheet. However, it's recommended to operate at a frequency of 100 kHz to ensure reliable communication.
The ST25DV16K-IER8S3 has a built-in CRC calculator. To handle CRC calculation, you need to set the CRCEN bit in the Command Register (CR) to 1. The device will then automatically calculate the CRC for the data being transmitted.
The WPF bit indicates the write protection status of the memory array. When set to 1, the memory array is write-protected, and any write attempts will be ignored. When set to 0, the memory array is not write-protected, and write operations are allowed.
To perform a bulk erase, send the Bulk Erase command (0x06) to the device, followed by the required number of clock cycles (typically 50-100 ms). The device will then erase the entire memory array.
The recommended POR timing is to hold the VCC pin low for at least 100 ns, followed by a power-on ramp time of 1 ms to 10 ms. This ensures that the device is properly reset and ready for operation.
