TI recommends a 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane on the bottom layer, and a thermal relief pattern on the top layer to minimize thermal resistance. A minimum of 2 oz copper thickness is recommended for the top layer.
Ensure proper heat sinking, use a thermal interface material (TIM) with a thermal conductivity of at least 1 W/m-K, and follow the recommended PCB layout. Also, consider derating the device's power dissipation according to the temperature derating curve in the datasheet.
The maximum allowed voltage on the input pins is 5.5V, which is the absolute maximum rating. However, for reliable operation, it's recommended to keep the input voltage within the recommended operating range of 3.3V to 5V.
The SN75976A2DLR is not hermetically sealed, so it's not recommended for use in high-humidity environments. However, if you must use it in such an environment, ensure proper conformal coating and follow the recommended storage and handling procedures to minimize moisture absorption.
