A good PCB layout for the RGEF1000 involves keeping the high-current paths short and wide, using multiple vias for heat dissipation, and separating the high-voltage and low-voltage sections to minimize noise and interference.
Proper cooling can be achieved by providing adequate airflow, using a heat sink with a thermal interface material, and ensuring the device is mounted on a thermally conductive surface. The recommended junction temperature is below 150°C.
To minimize EMI, use a common-mode choke, add a capacitor between the input and output, and ensure the PCB layout is designed to minimize loop areas and reduce radiation. Shielding and filtering components can also be added to reduce emissions.
