  • The REF43GP should be placed close to the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) or digital-to-analog converter (DAC) it is supplying, and the layout should be designed to minimize noise coupling and ensure a low-impedance path to the reference input. A ground plane under the REF43GP and a bypass capacitor between the VOUT and GND pins can help reduce noise.

  • To ensure stability, the REF43GP should be decoupled with a 10uF to 22uF capacitor between the VOUT and GND pins, and the output should be buffered with a low-pass filter or an op-amp if it is driving a long cable or a capacitive load. Additionally, the layout should be designed to minimize parasitic inductance and capacitance.

  • The REF43GP can source up to 10mA of current, but the output voltage will start to droop if the current exceeds 5mA. To maintain a stable output voltage, it is recommended to limit the current drawn from the REF43GP to 1mA to 2mA.

  • During power-up, the REF43GP output voltage will ramp up slowly to prevent overshoots and ensure a stable output. During power-down, the output voltage will decay slowly to prevent glitches. It is recommended to add a power-on reset circuit to ensure the system is reset properly during power-up, and to add a voltage supervisor to detect power-down and prevent system malfunction.

  • The REF43GP can be used in a system with multiple voltage supplies, but it is recommended to sequence the power-up of the voltage supplies to ensure the REF43GP output voltage is stable before the system starts operating. The REF43GP can handle voltage sequencing, but it is recommended to add a voltage supervisor to detect power-up and power-down sequences and ensure the system is reset properly.
