A recommended PCB layout for optimal thermal performance would be to have a large copper area connected to the module's thermal pad, with multiple vias to dissipate heat effectively.
To ensure reliable start-up, ensure that the input voltage is within the specified range, and the input capacitance is sufficient to handle the inrush current. Also, ensure that the output voltage is not pre-biased before applying input power.
The maximum allowable capacitance on the output is 2200uF. Exceeding this value may affect the converter's stability and performance.
While the converter is rated for operation up to 80°C, it's essential to consider the derating curves and thermal management to ensure reliable operation in high-temperature environments.
To troubleshoot output voltage deviations, check the input voltage, output load, and ambient temperature. Verify that the output voltage sense lines are properly connected and not noisy. Also, ensure that the converter is not operating in a fault condition.
