  • The maximum frequency of the PWM output is 1526 Hz, which is the highest frequency that can be achieved with the 25 MHz internal oscillator.

  • To configure the PCA9685PW for 16-bit PWM mode, set the MODE1 register to 0x01 and the MODE2 register to 0x04. Then, set the PWM frequency using the PRESCALE register and configure the PWM duty cycle using the LEDn_ON_L and LEDn_OFF_H registers.

  • The OE pin is an active-low input that enables or disables the output drivers. When OE is low, the output drivers are enabled, and when OE is high, the output drivers are disabled.

  • The PCA9685PW can be reset by setting the SLEEP bit in the MODE1 register to 1. This will reset the device and clear all registers to their default values.

  • The PCA9685PW can sink or source up to 25 mA per channel, with a total current limit of 200 mA for all channels combined.
