A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. The device should be placed near a thermal pad or heat sink to dissipate heat efficiently.
Ensure proper heat sinking, use a thermal interface material, and follow the recommended PCB layout. Also, consider derating the device's power handling at high temperatures.
A 10uF to 22uF X7R or X5R ceramic capacitor is recommended, placed as close to the VIN pin as possible, to filter out input voltage noise and ripple.
Use a shielded inductor, keep the layout compact, and use a common-mode choke or ferrite bead to filter out high-frequency noise. Also, ensure proper grounding and decoupling.
The maximum allowed voltage on the EN pin is 6V, exceeding which may damage the device. Ensure the voltage on the EN pin does not exceed the recommended maximum rating.
