A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital sections separate, and use a common ground point for the analog and digital grounds.
Follow the calibration procedure outlined in the datasheet, which involves applying a known temperature to the device and adjusting the offset and gain registers accordingly. It's also recommended to perform a 2-point calibration for improved accuracy.
The maximum cable length for the I2C interface is dependent on the clock frequency and the capacitance of the cable. As a general guideline, a cable length of up to 10 meters is recommended for a clock frequency of 400 kHz.
The thermal shutdown feature is enabled by default. When the device temperature exceeds 150°C, the output will be disabled. To handle this, implement a thermal monitoring system to detect when the device is approaching the thermal shutdown threshold, and take corrective action to reduce the device temperature.
Power up the device in the following sequence: VDD, AVDD, and then the digital supply (VDDIO). Ensure that the power supplies are stable and within the recommended voltage range before applying the clock signal.
