A good PCB layout for the MPXV7002DP involves keeping the sensor away from high-current carrying traces, using a solid ground plane, and minimizing the distance between the sensor and the analog-to-digital converter (ADC).
Calibration involves applying known pressures to the sensor and measuring the corresponding output voltages. A minimum of two points (e.g., 0 psi and full-scale pressure) are required for a basic calibration, but more points can improve accuracy.
To prevent damage, power should be applied to the VCC pin before the VSS pin. The power-on sequence should be: VCC, then VSS, then input signals (if applicable).
To minimize EMI, use a shielded cable for the sensor's output, keep the sensor and cable away from high-frequency sources, and consider adding EMI filters or shielding to the PCB.
