  • The recommended operating temperature range for the MOC3011 is -40°C to 85°C.

  • To ensure proper biasing, connect the anode to a voltage source (e.g., VCC) through a current-limiting resistor, and connect the cathode to a load (e.g., LED) or a voltage source (e.g., GND) through a current-limiting resistor.

  • The maximum allowable current through the MOC3011 is 1A, but it's recommended to keep the current below 0.5A for reliable operation.

  • While the MOC3011 can be used for high-frequency applications, its performance may degrade above 100 kHz. For high-frequency applications, consider using a more specialized optocoupler or a different component.

  • To ensure proper isolation, use a separate power supply for the input signal and the output circuit, and keep the input and output circuits physically separated to prevent electrical noise and interference.
