The recommended power-up sequence is to apply VDD before applying a clock signal to the SCL pin. This ensures that the device is properly initialized and prevents any unexpected behavior.
To retain the wiper position during power-down and power-up cycles, it is recommended to use an external capacitor (typically 10nF) between the VDD and VSS pins. This capacitor helps to maintain the wiper position by storing the charge.
The MCP4541T-503E/MS can handle I2C clock frequencies up to 400 kHz. However, it is recommended to use a clock frequency of 100 kHz or less to ensure reliable operation.
