The maximum input voltage is 40V, but it's recommended to keep it below 35V for reliable operation.
Ensure the input voltage, output voltage, and output current are within the recommended limits, and the device is properly heat-sinked to prevent overheating.
The compensation pin is used to stabilize the output voltage. A capacitor (typically 10nF to 100nF) and a resistor (typically 1kΩ to 10kΩ) are connected in series between the compensation pin and ground to form a pole-zero compensation network.
The inductor value depends on the output voltage, output current, and switching frequency. A good starting point is to use the inductor value recommended in the datasheet (e.g., 22μH for a 5V output). Then, adjust the value based on the specific application requirements.
The minimum ESR required is 0.05Ω, but a lower ESR is recommended (e.g., 0.01Ω) for better output voltage regulation and stability.
