A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. The device should be placed near a thermal pad or heat sink to dissipate heat efficiently.
Use a low-impedance current sense resistor (RSENSE) and ensure the sense lines are routed close together and away from noise sources. Also, use a low-noise, low-impedance power supply for the device.
The maximum allowed voltage on the VCC pin is 5.5V. Exceeding this voltage may damage the device.
While the datasheet specifies a maximum switching frequency of 1MHz, the device can be used at higher frequencies with proper PCB layout and component selection. However, this may require additional filtering and noise reduction measures.
The internal voltage reference has a tolerance of ±1.5%. To compensate for this, use an external voltage reference or adjust the feedback resistors to achieve the desired output voltage.
