  • The maximum voltage rating for the input pins (VIN and VCC) is 36V, but it's recommended to keep it below 30V for reliable operation.

  • To ensure accurate OVP threshold, make sure to decouple the VIN pin with a 10uF capacitor to GND, and use a low-ESR capacitor for the OVSET pin.

  • The OVSET pin sets the overvoltage protection (OVP) threshold. Connect a resistor divider from VIN to OVSET to GND to set the OVP threshold. The ratio of the resistors determines the threshold voltage.

  • Choose capacitor values based on the specific application requirements. For the input filter, use a capacitor with low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) and a value between 1uF to 10uF. For the output filter, use a capacitor with low ESR and a value between 10uF to 100uF.

  • Place the IC close to the input capacitors and keep the input and output traces short and wide. Use a solid ground plane and avoid routing sensitive signals near the IC. Follow the recommended layout in the datasheet and application notes.
