The maximum input voltage that can be applied to the VIN pin is 40V, but it's recommended to keep it below 36V for reliable operation.
To optimize inductor selection, consider the inductor's saturation current, DC resistance, and core material. A good starting point is to choose an inductor with a saturation current rating above the peak current of the converter, and a DC resistance that minimizes losses.
To minimize EMI and noise, keep the power stage components (e.g., inductor, capacitor, and switch node) close together, and use a solid ground plane. Keep sensitive analog signals away from the power stage, and use shielding or guard rings to reduce noise coupling.
The switching frequency of the LTC3769 can be adjusted by changing the value of the RT resistor connected to the RT pin. A smaller RT resistor value increases the switching frequency, while a larger value decreases it.
The SYNC/MODE pin allows synchronization of the LTC3769 with an external clock signal. To use it, connect the SYNC/MODE pin to an external clock signal, and set the MODE pin high to enable synchronization. This can be useful in multi-phase or multi-converter applications.
