The maximum input voltage that can be applied to the VIN pin is 40V, but it's recommended to keep it below 36V for reliable operation.
To optimize inductor selection, consider the inductor's saturation current, DC resistance, and core material. A good starting point is to choose an inductor with a saturation current at least 1.5 times the peak current, and a DC resistance less than 100mΩ.
To minimize EMI and noise, keep the switching node (SW pin) away from sensitive analog nodes, use a solid ground plane, and place the input and output capacitors close to the IC. Also, use a shielded inductor and orient it to minimize radiation.
To configure the LTC3115 for a specific output voltage, use the FB pin and a resistive divider to set the output voltage. The resistive divider should be connected between the output voltage and ground, with the FB pin connected to the center tap of the divider.
The maximum ambient temperature range for the LTC3115 is -40°C to 125°C, but the junction temperature should not exceed 150°C for reliable operation.
