  • The maximum input voltage that can be applied to the VIN pin is 40V, but it's recommended to keep it below 36V for reliable operation.

  • Choose an inductor with a high saturation current rating, low DC resistance, and a suitable inductance value based on the switching frequency and output voltage. A good starting point is to use an inductor with an inductance value between 1.5uH to 3.3uH.

  • The RUN pin is an active-high enable input that allows the user to turn the converter on and off. Connect the RUN pin to VIN to enable the converter, or connect it to GND to shut it down.

  • The feedback network consists of resistors R1 and R2. Choose R1 and R2 such that the ratio of R1 to R2 sets the desired output voltage. A good starting point is to use R1 = 1kΩ and R2 = 2.49kΩ for a 3.3V output.

  • The maximum output current that the LTC3115 can deliver is 2A, but it's recommended to derate the output current based on the input voltage, output voltage, and ambient temperature.
