The recommended layout and placement for the LTC2644 involves keeping the input and output capacitors close to the device, using a solid ground plane, and minimizing the length of the traces between the device and the capacitors. A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane is recommended.
To optimize the performance of the LTC2644, ensure that the input and output capacitors are of high quality and have low ESR, use a low impedance power source, and minimize the noise on the input voltage. Additionally, ensure that the device is operated within its recommended operating conditions.
The maximum allowed voltage on the input pins of the LTC2644 is 6V. Exceeding this voltage can cause damage to the device.
To ensure the LTC2644 is stable and does not oscillate, ensure that the output capacitor is of sufficient value and has low ESR, the input capacitor is of sufficient value, and the device is operated within its recommended operating conditions.
