  • The maximum input voltage that can be applied to the LTC1871IMS is 60V, but it's recommended to keep it below 50V for reliable operation.

  • To ensure stability, make sure to follow the recommended layout and component selection guidelines in the datasheet, and also add a 10nF to 22nF capacitor between the VCC and GND pins to filter out noise.

  • The LTC1871IMS is rated for operation up to 125°C, but the maximum junction temperature (TJ) should not exceed 150°C. Ensure proper thermal design and heat sinking to prevent overheating.

  • The output voltage (VOUT) can be calculated using the formula: VOUT = VREF x (1 + R1/R2), where VREF is the internal reference voltage (1.21V), and R1 and R2 are the feedback resistors.

  • The SS (Soft-Start) pin is used to control the startup sequence of the converter. It can be used to slow down the startup time to reduce inrush current and prevent voltage overshoots.
