The LT3757 can handle input voltages up to 60V, but it's recommended to keep it below 50V for optimal performance and reliability.
To minimize EMI, keep the input and output capacitors close to the IC, use a solid ground plane, and keep the high-current paths short and direct. Also, consider using a shielded inductor and orienting the IC to minimize radiation.
The recommended PCB layout for the LT3757 involves placing the input capacitors (CIN) close to the VIN pin, the output capacitors (COUT) close to the VOUT pin, and the inductor (L) close to the SW pin. A good starting point is to choose an inductor with a saturation current rating above the maximum output current, and an inductance value between 1uH to 10uH. The LT3757 can deliver up to 3.5A of output current, but it's recommended to derate the output current based on the input voltage, output voltage, and ambient temperature to ensure reliable operation.
