It is recommended to derate the output current and power dissipation at high temperatures and to ensure that the device is operated within its specified temperature range.

  • The LT1460 has built-in overcurrent protection, but it is still recommended to add external protection circuitry to prevent damage from overvoltage and overcurrent conditions. This can include adding a voltage clamp or a current limit circuit at the input and output of the device.
