The recommended power-on sequence is to first power up the VDDIO pin, followed by the VDD pin. This ensures that the internal regulators are properly enabled before the device starts operating.
To configure the LSM6DS3TR-C for low-power mode, set the LP_MODE bit in the CTRL3_C register to '1'. This reduces the current consumption of the device. Additionally, you can also adjust the ODR (Output Data Rate) and the bandwidth of the sensor to further reduce power consumption.
The INT1 and INT2 pins are interrupt pins that can be configured to generate interrupts based on specific events, such as data ready, FIFO threshold, or sensor thresholds. These interrupts can be used to wake up a microcontroller from sleep mode or to trigger specific actions.
The LSM6DS3TR-C does not require calibration in the classical sense. However, it is recommended to perform a self-test procedure to verify the sensor's functionality and to adjust the offset and sensitivity of the sensor if necessary. The self-test procedure is described in the datasheet.
The maximum frequency of the I2C interface on the LSM6DS3TR-C is 400 kHz in standard mode and 1 MHz in fast mode.
