The LP2951 can handle input voltages up to 30V, but it's recommended to keep the input voltage below 24V for optimal performance and to prevent overheating.
To ensure stability, make sure to use a minimum output capacitance of 10uF, and a maximum ESR of 1 ohm. Also, keep the input and output capacitors close to the device and use a low-ESR capacitor for the output.
The LP2951 can regulate the output voltage down to an input voltage of around 6.5V, but the output voltage may not be accurate. For optimal performance, it's recommended to keep the input voltage above 8V.
The LP2951 is rated for operation up to 125°C, but its performance may degrade at high temperatures. Make sure to derate the output current and input voltage according to the temperature derating curve in the datasheet.
The output voltage of the LP2951 is set by the resistive divider network consisting of R1 and R2. The output voltage can be calculated using the formula: Vout = 1.23V x (1 + R2/R1).
