A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital sections separate, and use a star-grounding configuration to minimize noise.
Use a high-quality external crystal oscillator (XO) with a frequency tolerance of ±20 ppm or better. Ensure the XO is properly matched to the LMX2820RTCR's internal load capacitance (15 pF).
The maximum input voltage is 3.6 V, but it's recommended to operate within the 2.7 V to 3.3 V range for optimal performance and to prevent damage to the device.
Use the Power-Down (PD) pin to shut down the device when not in use. You can also adjust the clock frequency and voltage regulator settings to minimize power consumption.
Use a 10 μF ceramic capacitor in parallel with a 100 nF ceramic capacitor, both connected between the VCC pin and the GND pin, as close to the device as possible.
