  • A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. The device should be placed near a thermal pad or heat sink to dissipate heat efficiently.

  • Monitor the input voltage, output voltage, and output current to ensure they are within the specified ranges. Also, ensure the device is operated within the recommended temperature range of -40°C to 150°C.

  • A 10uF to 22uF X5R or X7R ceramic capacitor is recommended for input decoupling. The capacitor should be placed as close to the device as possible.

  • Use a shielded inductor, keep the device and inductor away from sensitive circuits, and use a common-mode choke to reduce EMI. Also, ensure good PCB layout practices, such as separating analog and digital grounds.

  • The maximum output capacitance is 220uF. Exceeding this value may cause instability or oscillations in the device.
