A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. The device should be placed near a thermal pad or heat sink to dissipate heat efficiently.
Monitor the input voltage, output voltage, and output current to ensure they are within the specified ranges. Also, ensure the device is operated within the recommended temperature range of -40°C to 150°C.
A 10uF to 22uF X5R or X7R ceramic capacitor is recommended for input decoupling. The capacitor should be placed as close to the device as possible.
Use a shielded inductor, keep the device and inductor away from sensitive circuits, and use a common-mode choke to reduce EMI. Also, ensure good PCB layout practices, such as separating analog and digital grounds.
The maximum output capacitance is 220uF. Exceeding this value may cause instability or oscillations in the device.
