A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. Keep the switching node (SW pin) away from sensitive analog nodes and ensure good thermal conduction to the PCB.
Use a combination of ceramic and electrolytic capacitors for the output filter. Choose capacitors with low ESR and high ripple current ratings. Optimize the inductor value and type for the specific application.
Use a low-ESR ceramic capacitor (e.g., X5R or X7R) with a value of 10-22uF, depending on the input voltage and current requirements.
Ensure the output capacitor has a low ESR and is properly decoupled from the input. Add a small ceramic capacitor (e.g., 100nF) between the VIN and GND pins to filter out high-frequency noise.
