The LM258YPT can operate from -40°C to 125°C, but the maximum junction temperature (TJ) should not exceed 150°C.
To ensure stability, a minimum output capacitance of 10uF with an ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) of less than 1 ohm is recommended. Additionally, the input capacitor should be at least 10uF with an ESR of less than 5 ohms.
The LM258YPT can handle a maximum input voltage of 35V, but it's recommended to keep the input voltage below 30V for reliable operation.
The LM258YPT is designed for low-to-medium current applications (up to 3A). For high-current applications, it's recommended to use a heat sink and ensure proper thermal management to prevent overheating.
Power dissipation (PD) can be calculated using the formula: PD = (VIN - VOUT) x IOUT, where VIN is the input voltage, VOUT is the output voltage, and IOUT is the output current.
