The maximum input voltage that can be applied to the LM258AST is 42V, but it's recommended to keep it below 40V for reliable operation.
To ensure stability, make sure to use a minimum output capacitance of 22uF, and keep the output voltage ripple below 1% of the output voltage. Also, use a low-ESR capacitor and keep the layout clean and compact.
