  • The maximum input voltage that can be applied to the LM235Z is 42V, but it's recommended to keep it below 40V for reliable operation.

  • To ensure stability, make sure to use a minimum output capacitance of 10uF with an ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) of less than 1 ohm, and a minimum input capacitance of 1uF.

  • The minimum input voltage required for the LM235Z to regulate properly is 7.5V for a 5V output and 10.5V for a 12V output.

  • The LM235Z is rated for operation up to 125°C, but the maximum junction temperature should not exceed 150°C. Be sure to follow proper thermal design and heat sinking to ensure reliable operation.

  • Use a TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) diode or a voltage clamp at the input to protect the LM235Z from voltage surges and spikes.
