  • The maximum input voltage that can be applied to the LM117H is 30V, but it's recommended to keep it below 25V for reliable operation.

  • To ensure stability, use a minimum output capacitance of 10uF, and keep the distance between the input and output capacitors as short as possible. Also, use a low-ESR capacitor for the output capacitor.

  • The minimum input voltage required for the LM117H to regulate properly is 3V above the output voltage. For example, for a 5V output, the minimum input voltage should be at least 8V.

  • The LM117H is rated for operation up to 125°C, but its performance may degrade at high temperatures. It's recommended to derate the output current and input voltage at high temperatures to ensure reliable operation.

  • Use a TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) diode or a zener diode in parallel with the input capacitor to protect the LM117H from input voltage surges or spikes.
