ROHM recommends a 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane for the input and output. The device should be placed near the input capacitors, and the output capacitors should be placed close to the output pins. A detailed layout guide can be found in the ROHM application note AN12271.
To ensure stability, make sure to follow the recommended component values and PCB layout. Additionally, ensure that the input and output capacitors are of high quality and have low ESR. A minimum of 10uF input capacitance and 22uF output capacitance is recommended. Also, avoid using long traces and minimize the loop area of the feedback network.
The maximum ambient temperature for the LAP-601VB is 85°C. However, the device can operate up to 105°C with derating. Refer to the thermal derating curve in the datasheet for more information.
