A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital signals separate, and use a common mode filter to reduce EMI.
The LAN9500AI-ABZJ can be configured for half-duplex or full-duplex operation through the MDIX pin. Tie the MDIX pin to VCC for half-duplex or to GND for full-duplex operation.
The LAN9500AI-ABZJ supports cable lengths up to 100 meters, as per the IEEE 802.3 standard.
The LAN9500AI-ABZJ has a built-in power management feature that can be controlled through the PMEDEN pin. Tie the PMEDEN pin to VCC to enable power management or to GND to disable it.
The recommended crystal oscillator frequency for the LAN9500AI-ABZJ is 25 MHz.
