The L6599D can handle input voltages up to 60V, but it's recommended to keep it below 50V for reliable operation.
The inductor value depends on the output voltage, output current, and switching frequency. A good starting point is to use the inductor selection guide in the datasheet or consult with an application note.
The bootstrap capacitor (CBOOT) is used to generate the high-side gate drive voltage. A 10nF to 100nF ceramic capacitor is a good choice, but the optimal value depends on the specific application and layout.
To ensure stability, follow the layout guidelines in the datasheet, use a low-ESR output capacitor, and add a small ceramic capacitor (e.g., 10nF) between the VCC and GND pins.
The L6599D can deliver up to 5A of output current, but the actual current limit depends on the input voltage, output voltage, and thermal conditions.
