A recommended PCB layout for optimal thermal performance would be to have a large copper area connected to the thermal pad, and to use thermal vias to dissipate heat to the bottom layer of the PCB.
To ensure reliable operation in high-temperature environments, it is recommended to follow the recommended operating conditions, use a heat sink if necessary, and ensure good airflow around the device.
The maximum allowable power dissipation for the KTR18EZPF1004 is dependent on the ambient temperature and the thermal resistance of the device. Refer to the datasheet for the power dissipation curve.
The KTR18EZPF1004 is not hermetically sealed, so it is not recommended for use in high-humidity environments. If operation in a humid environment is required, consider using a conformal coating or potting the device.
